Geometry in the Real World
Student partners participated in a Geometry Scavenger Hunt throughout the school, searching for 2 or 3 dimensional “real-world” examples of geometrical shapes and vocabulary terms. They photographed the examples with the iPad and used a recording guide to annotate their findings, drawing a picture of the object and naming it. Back in the classroom students worked on a storyboard to plan out a screencast. Students used Explain Everything to annotate and to narrate the properties of each geometrical shape found, creating a screencasting movie.
